Initiatives

Powered for Patients is advancing a number of important initiatives in support of its goals of safeguarding backup power, expediting power restoration and helping at-risk citizens dependent on electric-powered medical devices during prolonged power outages. These initiatives were developed based the findings from the initial 2014 Powered for Patients Stakeholder Meeting and subsequent research.

The success of Powered for Patients has been built on the active involvement of key public and private sector stakeholders. Future success will depend on continuing leadership from key stakeholders committed to the Powered for Patients mission of safeguarding backup power, expediting power restoration, and helping at-risk citizens dependent on electric powered medical devices during prolonged power outages.
