Current Initiatives

Powered for Patients is advancing a number of important initiatives in pursuit of its mission of safeguarding emergency power and expediting prioritized power restoration for critical healthcare facilities impacted by disaster.

A cornerstone of Powered for Patients initiatives is enhancing situational awareness of emergency power status in critical healthcare facilities through early warning for government officials and utilities at the first sign of a threat to emergency power.

Another important element of Powered for Patients initiatives is helping communities assess current practices in addressing threats to emergency power and seeking opportunities to enhance response protocols through increased information sharing and collaboration among critical healthcare facilities, government officials and utilities.
